INHOMOGENEOUS RANDOM SYSTEMS

The aim of this annual workshop, in conjunction with the "Journées de Physique Statistique" (31 January, 1 February), is to bring together mathematicians and physicists working on disordered or random systems, and to discuss recent developments on themes of common interest. Each day is devoted to a specific topic:
Tuesday 22 January:
Quantum dynamics in and out of equilibrium.

The emergence of cold atoms and single photon
experiments have triggered a profusion of studies in non-equilibrium
dynamics of quantum systems, leading to new ways of ``Exploring the Quantum''.
Quantum quenches, entanglement, thermalization, ergodicity,
the application of probabilistic concepts to quantum trajectories,
fluctuation and dissipation in quantum systems,
provide us with fascinating problems ranging from pure mathematics
to cutting edge technology.
This meeting brings together theoretical physicist and mathematicians
working on various topics pertaining to quantum dynamics, with the hope
of stimulating discussion and cross-fertilization.

Advances in both mathematical approaches to renormalization group and stochastic analysis of large scale random fields have brought these two fields in close contact. Universality, singular stochastic equations, regularity structures, rigorous control of the renormalization group flow in statistical mechanics and quantum field theory, are few of the various aspects around which this workshop will concentrate to provide a panorama of the current research and open directions in the description of multiscale random fields.
